Bridgend Green Gathering in Bryngarw Country Park

By Sophie, 22nd May 2023

We are pleased to be hosting the Bridgend Green Gathering 2023 in Bryngarw Country Park on Friday 16th June. The gathering is a celebration of nature and well-being innovations across the borough.

The event is open to anyone interested in supporting better health and well-being in local green and natural space. It is an opportunity to be inspired, network with other green space or well-being practitioners and to try out some well-being activities.

There will be time to share knowledge and lessons learned about cultivating enduring connections with nature, and to discuss some of the barriers that can prevent access and engagement for some audiences.

The day will comprise of:

  • Guided walks with Bryngarw Country Park Rangers
  • Inspiration from speakers such as Steve Davies, the eco entrepreneur who invented a surfboard made entirely from mushrooms and coral
  • Big picture perspectives from organisations including Natural Resources Wales and Public Health Wales
  • Experiencing well-being in nature first hand during taster workshops in the beautiful grounds of Bryngarw Country Park (two complimentary sessions per attendee, sign up on the day)
  • Connection opportunities in an interactive networking session – there are spaces available to showcase your service, group or organisation. Please contact cassie.crocker@plantlife.org.uk if interested.

Tickets are free but booking is essential, tickets will admit entry to the whole day of activities including lunch and refreshments.

Visit Eventbrite for more information and to book tickets.

This event is in partnership with Plantlife, Bridgend Green Network, BAVO, The National Lottery Community Fund, Cwm Taf Nature Network, Bridgend County Borough Council and Welsh Government.
