Celebrate World Bee Day at Bryngarw Country Park

Come and celebrate World Bee Day with us on Sunday 17th May!
There will be fun for all the family while learning about the importance of bees and how we can protect them.
🍯 Smoking Apples Theatre Bee Show
⏰ 11.30 – 12.15pm & 1.30 – 2.15pm
Join Billy Bumble as he shrinks down to bee-size and learns about the troubles that they face. Featuring spell-binding puppetry and a giant honeycomb set, join us for a whirlwind ride, avoiding grumpy Mr Fred and the gaping jaws of Shredder the dog!
🌻 Eco Bee Crafts with Alice Marie
⏰ 10.30am to 3.30pm
Decorate your own seedling pot, build a beehive and bee-friendly flower painting in Y Nyth with Alice Marie. Please note, there will be a short break between 1.30pm and 2pm.
🔍 Self-led Bee Trail
⏰ 10.30am – 3.30pm
Collect an activity sheet from the café and head out on a self-led bee trail to find ‘The Big Eight’, then head back to the Visitor Centre after you’ve completed the sheet to claim a prize!
🐝 The Busy Bees
⏰ Buzzing around from 10.45am
The Busy Bees are a delightful walkabout bee act featuring the mischievous duo Buzz and Bumble. Bursting with charm and curiosity, they flit thought events playing interactive games like Pollination Station and Spin the Flower, inviting audiences of all ages to join the fun. Full of gentle humour and high energy interaction, The Busy Bees create unforgettable moments and make a truly bee-utiful photo opportunity wherever they roam.
Bridgend & District Beekeepers Association will be in the visitor centre, and can provide all kinds of interesting information about beekeeping.
All events are free to attend, with no booking required. Just come along for some family friendly fun!
