Outdoor Theatre FAQs

Will there be seating provided at the performance?

Please bring your own low-backed chair or a picnic blanket to sit on. Alternatively, you can rent a deck chair from us, subject to availability.

Are pets allowed in the event?

Well-behaved dogs that will not impact any performance and assistance dogs are permitted to attend.

Is the event suitable for children?

Each outdoor theatre performance is different, so please check the age guide before booking.

Will there be food available?

Light refreshments will be available to purchased from the café, you can also pre-order grazing boxes before the performance (for Bad Dad, MacHamLear and Wizard of Oz performances only).

Can I bring my own food?

Of course, however, we politely ask that all rubbish is either taken home or disposed of in the bins provided.

Is alcohol permitted?

Alcohol will not be available to purchase.

What should I wear?

Welsh weather is unpredictable, so come prepared! If it is hot, be sure to bring a hat, sun cream and insect repellent, if it’s chilly make sure to bring layers and a blanket and if it’s wet, wear your wellies and raincoat.

Are there toilets available?

Yes, there are toilets on site and an accessible toilet located in our Visitor Centre.

Is there car parking available?

Yes, if the performance you are attending is after 5.30pm parking is free, otherwise it is £3.50 all day.

What will happen if the weather is bad?

The show must go on! All productions will go ahead, unless the weather poses a threat to safety.

Can I bring an umbrella?

We recommend bringing waterproof clothing or a sunhat, rather than umbrellas, as a courtesy to people who may be sat behind you. If you do bring one, please consider other visitors and their view of the stage.

In the unlikely event that the performance is cancelled or postponed, can I get a refund?

Yes, please see our terms and conditions online.

Can I bring a disposable barbeque?

Unfortunately not, you are welcome to bring a picnic, purchase light refreshments or pre-order a grazing box from our café (for Bad Dad, MacHamLear and Wizard of Oz performances only).

Is smoking permitted?

Please refrain from smoking during the performance or close to other visitors.

Tickets for all performances are available on the Awen Box Office website.
